8 Ways To Incorporate Pink Into Your Home

Pink can be dramatic or it can be soft, it all depends on the way you use it. You don’t have to add a lot of pink or you can add a lot it all depends on your level of commitment and how much you love the colour of course. You can do something like add wallpaper pin flowers, artwork, and a lot more. Below we will be going over eight different ways you can add the colour pink into your home starting with the most extreme and working our way down to more subtle ways to add it into your décor. If you want to know how to add the colour pink into your home with overdoing it then keep on reading.

wallpaper pink

Wallpaper

This is probably the most extreme way to add pink to your home. Adding wallpaper pink is something you do if you want the room to be predominantly pink which works best in say nurseries or bedrooms. Don’t limit yourself, if you really love the colour then just go for it. Try to stick to neutral coloured furniture so you don’t over do it completely, but there really are no rules.

Rugs

A rug is a main piece when it comes to adding touches of pink or any colour for that matter. Even though it’s not furniture it does take up a lot of space in the room so choosing a pink rug will also make the room feel predominantly pink. It’s a nice way to create the pink room you want without having to wallpaper the walls or change them completely. This is especially great for those of you who are living in rentals.

Artwork

This is a subtle yet very cool way to add pink to whatever room you want. Artwork can be as big or as small as you like and you can find a huge range of pink themed artwork. This is definitely something that is more grown up and it also looks more elegant instead of trashy. A nice painting or picture in a great frame will become something for your guests to look at.

Curtains

How intense you want the curtains to look is all up to you. If you go for a fuchsia colour then they will certainly stand out a lot and leave more of an impression. If you choose something like a baby pink or dusty rose colour they will still look gorgeous but blend nicely into the furniture and walls as well.

Furniture

You can easily incorporate a nice piece of furniture, like a chair or couch into a room that is also pink. If you don’t want to fully commit to the colour then you can easily find a slip that goes over the top for a temporary pop of colour. If you decide you like it then you can easily reupholster the item.

Paint

Don’t feel limited to your sofa or chairs if you want to change the colour of a piece you have then why not do it with paint. Now, of course, you can’t do this over fabrics but why not paint the dining room table or the bookshelf that is blending into the background. The trick to incorporating colours is to really use your imagination.

Accessories

Think small pops of colour here and there like some decorative pillows, maybe some candles or a pink lamp. All these little things will add up and give your room that colour you really love. Small bits and pieces here and there will pop out vividly against the background without having to do anything too drastic.

Flowers

The most simple way to add pink to your home is by getting some freshly cut pink flowers. This is something that you should be doing anyway because they look great and smell amazing. Mix up flowers as the seasons change, think roses, hydrangeas, or whichever flower you really like.
